Many years ago, about 23 or 24, the Johnson family moved into our neighborhood. We started a few traditions - one was going to Temple Square to look at the lights and then go get dinner together. We started out with babies, worked our way up through grade school, junior high and high school and we decided it needed to be the very coldest day we could find just so we could really appreciate getting into the Christmas spirit - we really were sick!
Over the years as our families have grown, married kids, grand kids, work schedules, school schedules, etc......we've been lucky to find a night when each family could simply get their own members together to go.
The Monday before Christmas, our family decided to meet at the North Visitor's center at 6:30pm. It was a very cold, frosty night, just perfect to bundle up and zip through the square and ohh and ahh at the lights.
Imagine our delight and surprise to find the Johnsons there waiting for their family members to arrive!!! We snapped a few photos and headed out, just like old times, with Marc forgetting just which family he was with and walking with us for quite a while!! It was a fun night to be together again, we love Marc, Janet and their kids and grand kids!!

and based on the color of my nose...it was freezing! fun traditions.
It looks freezing! But that is part of it. I have to admit that going in Oakland is a little bit too warm! How funny that the Johnson's were there the same night. You must have both watched the weather report!!
BURR it was COLD! but fun, thanks for taking us to dinner after! you are the best!
